Requirements for certification for each of our programs are also available here on our website. Once all requirements are completed, students can request to be enrolled in Self-Recorded Testing through their course in the Portal on the Centralized Testing Information tab. If you do not see the Request button, please reach out to Student Affairs for support at the email addresses provided below.

Our administration team will review your request for enrollment to ensure all requirements have been met. If approved, you will be enrolled in the Self-Recorded Exam for your program and notified of your enrollment. Please note that fees for Self-Recorded Testing are due at the time of enrollment.

Once you have been enrolled in the exam and paid your tuition, a new tab called "Self Recording Instructions" will appear in your exam. All instructions for the exam will be on this tab. The requirements for both components of each program’s final exam are available here on our website.

When you are ready to begin the exam, click the Start Exam button. The 72-hour countdown does NOT start at time of enrollment. It starts when the Start button is clicked. Once clicked, the repertoire list for the practical exam will be generated and the 72-hour countdown will begin. You must submit your videos within these 72 hours. If your videos are not submitted on time, your exam will be voided.

It is the student's responsibility to arrange a location to film with access to all apparatus covered in their program. Studio use must be approved by the studio before filming. Students will also need to independently arrange a volunteer to teach when filming the teaching portion of the exam. Volunteers should ideally be injury-free, at an intermediate level, and familiar with the BASI methodology. Students are welcome to teach in their preferred language.

Use of BASI Systems equipment is not required for filming. Students must have the ability to record with quality audio and video in order to participate in Self-Recorded Testing. The student’s entire body must remain in frame at all times, and submissions must be recorded in a single, continuous video without any cuts or edits.
